Facebook Surges Past 400 Million Users

How Come Your Company Still Doesn't Have a Facebook Strategy?

How Come Your Company Still Doesn't Have a Facebook Strategy?

The Los Angeles Times announced that Facebook has flown past 400 Million users. As the growth continues to stagger even the most liberal growth predictions, is Facebook becoming our personal life portal?

In other news that may back up this theory, it is also thought that Facebook will be launching a much more robust email editor to compete with Gmail, Yahoo and and others.

Another lesson to corporate America: If you weren’t on Facebook in the last year, you just missed an opportunity to market your products or services to 400 million users.

According to Mashable, boomers also love Facebook far more than other social media sites, with 73% of the group claiming to maintain a Facebook profile, while only 13% have taken a liking to Twitter. We also find it somewhat shocking that only 13% identify themselves as active LinkedIn users. One would think that given their place in the professional world, Boomers would we more active on the professional site.

How is your company marketing via Facebook Apps?

How is your company marketing via Facebook Apps?

Why are Facebook Apps so Important for Your Business?

There are plenty of ways to promote your business right now, but a Facebook app might be one of the most interesting and virally effective ways to get people to join your Facebook Fan Page and learn more about your business.

Sure, it’s easy for some of us if your name is Barak Obama, Starbucks, or any of the Fortune 100 companies that are starting to understand the value of social media.

However for the rest of us that don’t have a lot of name or brand recognition outside of our limited community, building a Facebook Fan Page can be daunting and then building your fan base is even harder.
One way to solve this is through Facebook Apps. Now, most people think of lifestyle apps like Mafia Wars or Farmville, but there are also apps that can be built to specifically promote your company or just a singular product in your company.

The key is the Facebook News Feed. When built correctly, each time a Fan clicks on your app, a graphic can also appear in your News Feed which will promote to everyone else on your Friend list. From here, the viral nature of Facebook takes over. We’ve seen companies go from 0 to over 40,000 fans in the matter of days.

Cost of building an app? It can vary widely based on the scope of your project but $2,500 and up is a good starting point.
So if you are looking for a way to promote your business, Facebook Apps, might be the answer that you are looking for to take your marketing to the next level.
