I was at a tradeshow over the weekend and was asking sales people from a number of different companies and industries about how they actually sell. How they get their leads or how they get new prospects etc. One thing I kept noticing about the answers was the inconsistency. It seemed like everyone had there own way of doing things. Specifically, I asked about cold calling and the answers were just as varied.
- Don’t do it
- Too Hard
- I do a few a week
- I cold call all the time and can’t get anywhere
When I started explaining Sharkbait, and how it works to help their sales people with their prospecting, a light bulb seemed to go off in everyone’s head. What if there really was a defined process for prospecting technology that would increase efficiency. Sharkbait is putting some teeth into cold calling! (Sorry…. Couldn’t resist).
