Is Your Company Using Twitter To Promote New Products?

So why should you be promoting your new product on Twitter?  Isn’t Twitter all about news or where the secret sale is going to be this afternoon?  You can also hear about where the late night after-after-party is going to be held. 

This is all great for the sexy people but what about us regular folk that are waiting for the new raspberry flavored donut from the local bakery or even the cool new video card released from your favorite tech firm?

The important thing to keep in mind is not how many followers you have, but rather how many followers your followers have…  I know this may be getting a bit existential but the simple fact is that the power of Twitter is the viral nature of the beast.    Even if you only have 50 followers, and promote one of your new products to those fifty, it will only take a few of those people to send your product skyward in the cyber community if you are presenting an intriguing and engaging message.

Always remember to keep one thing in mind when introducing your new product.  “Would this interest me if I’d never heard of it before?”  Content is king, whether you are promoting your product on Twitter or on the side of a building in Times Square, make your new product announcements electric!
